In the 30 years
of Commercial Design.
These have been some
of the Different industries
and markets, I have
had the pleasure
Since I started designing in the 1990’s till now, these have been some of the different types of markets I have had the honor to design for and gained experience from. I’ve seen many of these companies grow and many of them fade or bought away from larger corporations. It’s always amazed me how each and one of these companies have played their roll in our society. At the same time, I have seen companies surge out of nothing into something and shifting the entire society into a whole other direction. Now with the new printing technology rising up in digital printing, 3D printing, and direct to substrate printing. These technologies have opened the doors for smaller business to surge and compete against existing and well-established corporations. As it has also opened the possibilities in being able to create with a greater imagination to whole other levels of design and manufacturing.
“Yes, it’s true,
Imagination is greater than knowledge.
But without knowledge,
imagination is limited”.
Custom jobs require special attention and different processes for manufacturing. In the 30 years of experience, I have had to work directly or indirectly with many of these different types of machines. From design to engineering, to prepping the files for each specific type of press, or custom printing processes, to ordering flexo dies in solids or line screens, or using different meshes for printing silkscreens. Since every project requires some type of cutting I have had to deal with cutting dies for corrugated, CNC for wood, and laser cutters for sheet metal, plastics, wood or even textiles.
is not only about printing posters,
it’s about creating anything you can imagine
and bringing it into existence throughout
the different existing technologies”.
